Post-doctoral scholar in ethnomusicology, in any area of specialization, from outstanding candidates who have completed a PhD in 2008 or later. Under the mentorship of a faculty member the scholar will teach three courses (normally one per quarter) distributed among undergraduate and graduate courses, and will otherwise be free to pursue research and writing. Previous scholars have collaborated with other departments and divisions of the University in addition to their work in Music. The term of the position is one year, expected to begin September 1, 2011. The salary is $37,500 plus medical benefits.
PhD by 2008 or later.
