Appel à Article – Journal of the International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives Issue 56

The Journal of the International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives (eISSN 2617-9024) represents the collected research and applied work of the global audiovisual archives community. Also known as the IASA Journal, it is published online and is freely available as the first and only open-access portal for discourse on care, access and long-term preservation of the world’s sound and moving image heritage.

The IASA Journal invites submissions for Issue 56, to be published in 2026. We welcome original research articles and case studies (peer-reviewed), reflections, reviews, and reports addressing all areas of sound and audiovisual archiving and preservation, including technical, theoretical, ethical, and practical perspectives. Submissions addressing sound and audiovisual archives in the context of music and dance research are also welcome.

Abstract deadline: 1 December 2025
Submission deadline: 15 January 2026

Abstracts are not required, and early submissions are strongly encouraged. Questions may be directed to the Editors at editor@iasa-web.org(link sends e-mail).
