Dear all, the deadline for abstracts for Music Research Today 2026 on 1 May 2026! This year’s conference will be hosted by the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and will take place 7–9 October, starting and ending at lunchtime. Musikforskning idag welcomes contributions on any theme related to research in musicology, music education, artistic research in music, music theory, music therapy, music psychology, and music-related research in other disciplines. The conference particularly invites contributions within this year’s theme, Musical Performance, and encourages participation from doctoral and master’s students. Keynote speakers are Daniel Leech-Wilkinson (UK) and Sofia Dahl (DK).

Musikforskning idag will also host an introductory interdisciplinary seminar for doctoral students at Swedish institutions, starting on the evening of 6 October. The aim is to stimulate dialogue across disciplinary boundaries and create new contact points through a moderated discussion. Please help us spread this information to doctoral students in your environments.
